The more you pay attention to the physical strength or muscle you’re trying to build, the more in tune your mind will be to what’s happening to all the parts of your body and the greater your ability to keep challenging them will be.
During your lifting, visualize the muscle you’re working and focus your attention on it. Concentrate on squeezing the muscles during the movement and focus on engaging the muscle during the movement. Don’t just push the weight around, wrap your mind around the lift, the feel of the muscle working.
Mind Muscle Connection is the conscious and deliberate muscle contraction. It’s the ability to focus the tension you create during the exercise on a specific muscle or region of the body. By creating tension in the right muscles, your body is better able to gain strength and size in all the right places.
